InterMed and Medshow in 2019
The InterMed-2019 exhibition took place in Moscow on March 12–14. The event has the international status and is held every year, the target audiences are hospitals and medical tourism agencies.
At the beginning of the business program on March 12, Alexander Troshnev, IMTAA IT Director, made a presentation about „Medical tourism market trends in 2019“. The last day of the program was devoted to inbound medical tourism: the „Inbound Medical Tourism: Growth Points for Market Participants“ session was organized by the National Council for Medical Tourism of the Russian Federation. Visitors asked many questions about the prospects of this direction. It can be assumed that interest in this topic will increase in the current year.
If we talk about the exhibition itself, this year there was noticeably more visitors among the foreign facilitators from Austria, Italy, Turkey, India and other countries interested in Russian-speaking patients. Another feature of InterMed 2019 — a part of last year's exhibitors arrived this year as visitors, without a stand.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of international clinics from 8 countries: Germany, Greece, Israel, India, Poland, Thailand, Turkey, and Finland. In 2018, 15 countries were represented at InterMed.
At Medshow exhibition, all the stands were occupied by the participants, the number of private visitors increased, the list of exhibitors almost did not change.
